About Us

The Gambling Research, Education and Treatment (GREAT) Centre is a world-leading centre of excellence for research on gambling harm. The GREAT Centre provides education and conducts clinical treatment research to mitigate the impact of gambling-related harm for individuals, families, and communities. Hosted by Swansea University, the GREAT Centre adopts a translational research perspective employing a range of experimental methods from lab-based simulations to applied intervention studies. We co-create and disseminate our policy-led work with the support of those with lived experience of gambling harm and other stakeholders.
